As a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, I have been involved with photography since the mid -1970's.  From the glowing red light in the darkroom, the smell of acetone stop bath and the rapid fixer; my high school darkroom experiences will always be with me.  My early foundation of 35mm photography was rooted in these not so distant memories.  Shooting then mostly black and white pictures.

Today, technological advances have made digital photography an ever changing photographic medium.  My main emphasis at present is watching my two boys grow and play school sports.  Today I find myself at school or club football, basketball, track, lacrosse or soccer events.  Walking the field sidelines taking individual and team photographs catches my interest.  Family and social outings are always an excellent place to capture a special moment with a loved one or dear friend.  Additionally, the local landscape of ocean waves, mountain side streams, large old growth trees and the Sonoma County bounty of grapes and wine production are all superb photographic subjects. I often act as the photographic scribe to chronicle business or social events for work or group functions.
